Location

This charming country house is located in a peaceful and natural setting, surrounded by nature in the real hidden rural Mallorca. Here you will be able to relax and forget the stressful winter days as the only thing you will hear is the sing of the birds. The small villages of Calonge and S’Horta offer a few local shops, a supermarket, a church and some really nice restaurants. The tourist resort Cala D'Or only 10 minutes away, counts with pretty sandy coves, a never ending choice of restaurants, shops and the impressive international yacht harbour. The inland town Felanitx, with a bustling weekly market on Sunday morning is 15 minutes drive. The golf Golf course “Vall D’Or Golf” is within 10 minutes drive direction Porto Colom.

The house

Salas Nou is a beautifully designed country house full of natural light that has been completely renovated. The original house dates back more than 100 years. It has kept the charm of the typical Majorcan country houses with a wonderful mix of rustic details such as walls clad with rural stone, high ceilings with wooden beams combined with comfortable modern furniture. From the entrance we enter directly into the living room with a wood-stove. The open kitchen/dining area with a beautiful wooden dining table; is spacious, full of natural light and well equipped. From here large French doors open onto the front terrace. From the kitchen there is access to a double bedroom that has an en-suite shower room. At the other side of the villa there is a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room. Guest toilet close to the entrance. The upper floor counts with a double and a twin bedroom with views over the pool area and the surroundings. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and and a separate shower.

Air conditioning cold/warm in the bedrooms with a fixed and limited timetable (14.00 h to 15:30 h and 22.00 h to 09.00 h).

During the winter season, there will be also a radiator in the living room. The firewood for the wood stove is available at the supermarkets, petrol stations and garden centres.

El exterior

There is no better place to enjoy a depth sense of peace and tranquillity. Salas Nou is located in a wonderful area, in a green setting, surrounded by bushes, wild olive trees, pine and carob trees; the perfect spot to forget the stressful winter days. Take a refreshing swim at swimming pool (9m. x 4.5m. Depth min. 0.90 – max. 1.60) with Roman steps. By the pool there is a small terrace with comfortable sun beds where you can relax and read your favourite book. There is also a lawned area and a beautiful covered dining terrace with a barbecue; ideal to enjoy “al fresco“ evening meals cooked at the brick built barbeque.

Enclosed in the price are bed linen, towels for the house, tea towels, the final cleaning and other costs (electricity, water, gas).
The first cot and highchair are included in the price.

    “Die Ausstattung war sehr gut, Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Kaffeemaschine in guten Zustand. Das Haus war sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und liebevoll dekoriert. Pool sehr sauber . Außenanlagen mit viel Platz, zwei große Tische und ein gepflegter Grill mit Überdachung und Sitzplatz. Ruhige Umgebung.Das Haus ist zu sehr zu empfehlen. Einziger Minuspunkt ist die Anfahrt zum Haus. Da müsste unbedingt die Wege ausgebessert werden.”

    “Super gepflegt, allerdings fehlte Reiniger für die Geschirrspülmaschine - das hat man ja nicht unbedingt dabei....
    Schönes, gepflegtes Haus, toller Pool.”

    “Huset er fantastisk - autentisk og hyggeligt. Og så ligner det ikke en typisk lejebolig, fx er der mange flotte krukker med blomster på terrassen. Huset kan være svært at finde med gps og vejen dertil er smal, men det ændrer ikke på at det er et hus vi ville leje igen.”

    “Das Ferienhaus hat uns sehr gefallen; es ist sehr gepflegt und sauber, es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht (Klimaanlage, Wlan,Kaffeemaschine, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Spülmaschine, Ceranfeld,...)
    Während der Woche wurde sogar einmal durchgereinigt (Staub, Böden, Badezimmer,...)
    Es liegt sehr ruhig und abgeschieden, nicht einsehbar für andere Personen, der schmale Weg dorthin ist jedoch etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, breitere und längere Autos kommen nicht problemlos um die Ecken.
    Die Matratzen im unteren Schlafzimmer waren für meinen Geschmack nicht bequem genug, den Pool mit den Liegen haben wir sehr genossen, alles in einem (fast) perfekt. Die Besitzer haben sich echt viel Mühe gegeben, schön angelegte Blumen und Sträucher. Die nächste Bäckerei und Restaurants sind ca. 5 Fahrminuten entfernt.
    Der Besitzer schaute des öfteren vorbei um nach uns und dem Pool zu sehen, er gab uns auch einige Tipps zu Restaurants und Einkaufmöglichkeiten. Sehr netter Mann !!”

    “Das Haus mit Garten und Pool ist sehr gepflegt und in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet und lässt für den täglichen Gebrauch keine Wünsche offen. Auch die Geräte sind alle in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Schlafzimmer und auch die Bäder sind sauber, ordentlich und in einem guten Zustand. Das Haus ist in typischer Bauweise erbaut worden, auch tagsüber lässt es sich gut im Inneren aufhalten, für uns auch ohne Klimaanlage. Der Garten um das Haus ist liebevoll angelegt, es gibt sogar Früchte und auch Kräutern, die man ernten darf. Für uns der einzige Minuspunkt ist die Zufahrt zum Haus. Der Weg müsste dringend einmal etwas saniert werden. Es ist zwar kein Problem gewesen, dass der Weg nicht asphaltiert ist, er ist jedoch extrem schmal an manchen Stellen, rießige Schlaglöcher und Wasserrinnen haben sich gebildet. Auch die Beschilderung ist sehr spärlich, gerade bei einer Anreise am späten Abend extrem schwierig zu finden.”
