The oldest part of this villa was built at the end of the 16th century, as a rural farm-house in a dominant position above sea.
About the owner: professional wise, mechanical engineer been working all the life in computer industry.
His ancestors established, in 1821 in Amalfi, the Hotel Cappuccini Convento, a historic name among Italian hotels and one which was considered for many years to be one of the ten most famous hotels in the world, which was  frequented for nearly two centuries by nobility, patrons of the arts, artists and writers from all over Europe and America.
The owner wishes to keep alive this tradition of hospitality that developed in the historic context of Italian hotels; the furnishings are all antique and come from the historic Hotel Cappuccini Convento Amalfi.

At the moment, two apartments are available to guests:        
        - Apartment Cavalieri (up to 4+1 adult guests; + a baby)
        - Apartment Honeymoon (2 adult guests; + a baby)
To transform the apartments in an holiday home, the villa has been completely restored and renovated in order to create an independent air conditioning/heating system in every room.

A fenced parking area, free Wi-Fi are included.

Each apartment has his private terrace. From here, there is a breathtaking view of the Amalfi old town and Cathedral and there is a beautiful panorama-view, encompassing the bay of Amalfi from Cape Vettica to Cape d’Orso, and also the opposite coast line from Salerno to Paestum, Acciaroli, Cape Licosa and Cape Palinuro. All the terraces are sunny for the whole day and are equipped with tables, armchairs and chairs, sun loungers and parasol.

Welcome grocery basket, to our guests, includes: a Prosecco bottle, a red wine bottle, milk, bread and biscuits, eggs, butter, jar of homemade jam/marmalade according to the season.

From the road that connects the village of Pogerola to Amalfi downtown (3,5 km in total), you climb about 50 steps to reach the front garden of the villa. Nearby you will find: a private pool (open to the guests of the villa) and a restaurant at 350 mt distance, a fee for entry/towel/sun loungers-umbrella will be required at the entrances; free shuttle service on request; Restaurants in Pogrerola az 1,7 km; supermarket at 350 mt; fishmonger at 1,7 km; bar, tobacco, pizza take-away at 1,7 km distance. 
The Amalfi downtown area with its piers and beach is distant about 2,8 km (22-25 minutes walking); Ravello (8 km); Positano (16 km); Sorrento (25 km), Salerno Train Station (23 km); Naples Capodichino Airport (70 km). 
Bus service every hour (6 a.m.-11 p.m.) from/to Amalfi down town; bus stop at the end of the staircase on the road.

The Honeymoon Apartment sizes: 25sqm internal, 13sqm exclusive veranda, 30sqm exclusive terrace with a beautiful panorama-view on the west part of the Amalfi coast and the lemon garden of the Villa.

The apartment consists of: one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub ( hair-dryer available ); the kitchen has a fridge-freezer, a three gas hob stove, sink, microwave oven,  washing machine, toaster, kettle, dishes/glasses, pieces of cutlery, iron and ironing-board. The apartment can host very comfortably two person, and, in case of need, a cradle could be supplied for a baby.

In the veranda: external sitting and dining room with cooking facilities ( one gas hob stove, sink ) and barbeque available; on the terrace  armchairs, sun umbrella and sun loungers, external shower.

The apartment is a non-smoking area. To smoke, please, you can step out on the terrace, using the ashtray provided there.

    “Das Haus liegt oberhalb des Ortes Amalfi und ist mit dem Linienbus gut zu erreichen ( Haltestelle vor dem Haus, Parkplatz). Die Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt, frisch gestrichen und gut ausgestattet. Eine Terrasse bietet inmitten von Zitronenbäumen eine herrliche Sicht auf die Küste von Amalfi. Für eine einfache Selbstverpflegung ist die Küche gut ausgestattet.
    Das freundliche Vermieterpaar ist jederzeit gerne behilflich.
    Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung.”
