The guesthouse Minkel is quietly and idyllically situated in the village center of Dissen. Since 2013, the historic half-timbered farm building has housed four small apartments. It is surrounded by greenery. All apartments are awarded four stars. Thanks to its convenient location ‘at the gates' of Kassel, the guesthouse is a perfect place to meet families, friends or other groups, or as a starting point for those traveling on business. • Listed as protected heritage you will find a farmstead in a quiet location and with a lot of movement space, for sole use for the guests. The furnished outdoor seatings are located on the south and east sides, so you can sit in the morning with breakfast in the sun. A cottage garden invites you to relax and in the herb garden guests can serve themselves • Barn with spacious lounge, table tennis and table kicker. There are a pedal tractor, a bobby car and there is also a barbecue. Under the roof of the neighboring building is the sauna. • Ancient oak beams have remained visible, new wooden doors and windows have been carefully inserted into the old building. We used natural building materials, wooden floors and stone tiles. Antique farm furniture is authentic, and makes every apartment unique. High quality equipped kitchens with dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave sufficient cooking accessories, fine porcelain and beautiful cutlery. All beds with electr. slatted floor or box spring beds; Free Wi-Fi and satellite TV, stereo and DVD. • Ample free parking and secure facilities for bicycles etc. Many leisure activities on the spot: short walks to the playground as well as to a barefoot path with Kneipp facilities and a dog pool, good cycling and hiking trails and climbing on the outskirts, restaurant and pizzeria in the village. In Gudensberg (3 km): open-air theater & entertaining cultural program, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, 9-hole golf course, castle, cafes, shopping, restaurants and more ... In and around Kassel (15 km): Bergpark mit Herkules, Schloss Wilhelmshöhe, ice sports hall, Kurhessen thermal bath, a lot of museums, state theater, Fuldaaue with bathing lake, exhibition ground and halls. Hourly public transport by bus to Kassel.

Welcome to the 'Gudde Stube'(approx.‘peasant's stately room')! The cosiness of this room awaits you - as in Grandpa's time. With care we have preserved original, supplemented and adapted to today's needs. Ancient oak beams have remained visible, new floorboards, wooden doors and windows have been inserted. We used natural construction and insulation materials and created the basis for a healthy indoor climate. The furnished balcony with a great view is located on the east side, so you can sit in the morning with breakfast in the sun. You live in solid wood furniture (walk-in closet) and with antique single pieces. The beds have electric slats with high-quality mattresses (49 cm bed height). Both mattresses and duvets (155 x 220 cm)are suitable for allergy sufferers. In the bedroom can be added a baby's cot. High-quality eat-in kitchen with branded appliances (including freezer, microwave, oven), sufficient cooking utensils and stylish crockery. Bathroom with daylight, underfloor heating, floor-to-ceiling shower, towel-dryer and a large washbasin.

Minimum booking period: 3 nights. Please note that a one-off surcharge of 25 EUR will be charged for bookings of less than three nights. Basic rate is per apartment and night for occupancy from 1-2 person. Baby / child up to 2 years free of charge, extra bed (travel cot), high chair available. The price includes: the current VAT, wireless LAN and satellite TV, parking, final cleaning, heating, bed linen and towels, dishwashing / cleaning products and - for stays longer than 7 nights: the apartment is cleaned once a week including towel change. For bookings over a longer period, please contact us directly, we have a longterm tariff for business travelers.
