Welcome to La Dranse, a fantastic, spacious and modern apartment in the authentic La Chapelle-d’Abondance (les Portes du Soleil). After a wonderful day of skiing, you can safely store your things in your private locker and the heated ski boot rooms, use the lift and come home to this marvellous large open living space with high ceilings. Wonderful, the sun is still shining! Get an aperitif and enjoy it on the balcony. And what a view!
The house is fully equipped and suitable for young and old. We also thought of the little ones: there's a large basket with games, comic books, puzzles and Playmobil. In the children's bedroom you'll find a LED reading light above each bed. The Dutch owners really thought of everything.
Cooking enthusiasts can also enjoy themselves in the wonderful kitchen with huge worktop. All appliances, pots and pans of course a large dining table (10 people) are there. Quality comes first in this house.
La Chapelle d’Abondance is located in the large skiing area Les Portes du Soleil. The authentic village is friendly and that's what distinguishes it from other ski villages in the area. Within 10 minutes you can be in Morgins en Châtel. From beginner to professional, as a winter sports enthusiast you won't be bored quickly here.
The authentic chalet is located next to the cross-country skiing trail and is only 300 metres from the first skiing pistes. At an altitude of 1020 m, with a children's lift, childcare, ski school and skiing lessons in different languages. In short, a perfect base, especially for young families.
In the village (500 m) you can find various restaurants, fresh croissants, shops and nice bars. There also is a navette which stops only 100 metres from the apartment.
In the summer you'll be surrounded by green alpine meadows, inviting you to go on a beautiful walk through the mountains or on a challenging mountain bike tour, but there are also possibilities for tennis, swimming and golfing. A short car trip will bring you to beautiful Lake Geneva, where you can engage in all kinds of different water sports. At home you can use the table tennis table and you can play badminton in front of the house.
Day trip: Mont Blanc, Chamonix, Thonon-les-Bains, Evian-les-Bains, where you can get on a boat the Lausanne and Montreux in Switzerland, absolutely worth it.
